Thawthorn

Thawthorn is a 14-day transitional cycle that marks the end of Deepstill and the gradual return into Dawnwake. Ice begins to loosen and retreat, snow softens into meltwater, and dormant earth slowly reawakens beneath warming light. Thorned shoots and early growth push through thawing ground, often appearing before the land is fully ready to sustain them.

It is a fragile, uncertain period across Aeonyra—part winter’s release and part spring’s arrival. Rivers swell, paths reappear, and the world begins to move again, but unevenly, as if relearning its own rhythm after long stillness.
