Deepstill
Deepstill is a 60-day cycle of deep winter across Aeonyra, when cold settles fully over the continent and time seems to slow beneath heavy skies. Snow, ice, and frost dominate most regions, while even temperate lands fall into quiet dormancy. Daylight is short and pale, and nights stretch long and still, broken only by wind and distant creaking ice.
It is a season of rest, endurance, and preservation. Travel is limited, communities draw inward, and much of the natural world enters a state of suspended quiet. Though often harsh, Deepstill is also seen as necessary—a time when Aeonyra holds its breath, conserving strength before the cycle begins anew with Dawnwake.
